1) Representative Office:
1.1 Pay out expenditure to your vendor and your employee. And to handle the issues with payroll compliance.
1.2 Don’t need to issue local invoices in your representative office. The sales invoice would deal directly with the parent company.
2) Branch:
2.1 Directly issues sales invoice to the client in your branch.
2.2 To pay out all expenditures and buying inventory.
2.3 Not a legal entity; all of its behavior is on behalf of the parent company.
3) Subsidiary
3.1 It is a legal entity and independent domestic company.
3.2 To issue sales invoice, pays out all expenditures and purchase inventory.
4) Joint Venture:
4.1 The same as a subsidiary.
4.2 The only difference is that joint venture would not be a wholly-owned entity by a foreigner. That means the joint venture company would have a local partner.
